Today, April 26, 2013 marked the death of one of Country Music's legends: George Jones.
I'll admit that since I am only 28 my knowledge of George Jones has come after his charting career was over. But that doesn't mean he had no effect on my musical taste. I love his voice. There is something about George's voice, and that of many other classic country singers, that was better than many modern singers. George had feelings in his music and lyrics. I could feel the heartache in songs like "He Stopped Loving Her Today" and "The Door."
I know this post is short, but believe me, it is heart felt. RIP Peace George Jones! I wish I could witness todays concert.
